If you’re curious to learn about offshore trusts and "Foreign Asset Protection Trusts," then you’re very fortunate, because there are a number of books that are readily available for you to study. In fact, for the past few years, books on offshore trusts are all the rage. It seems like everybody has written one book or another which extolls the virtues of offshore trusts.

Sad to say, offshore trusts are a bottom-tier asset protection solution falling into the Dissociation Methodology ("It's Not Mine Because I Gave It Away"). And offshore trusts have been dissected in several federal court opinions. So, unless you are interested in the nominal federal gift and estate tax benefits of offshore trusts, there is a good chance that, if you should form one of these entities, you may put yourself into a worse situation than if you hadn't done anything at all.

You may be interested to know that many of these books are, in fact, ghostwritten by somebody else, and are also nothing more then a rewrite of other books.
